The Kenya premier League limited in conjunction with their main sponsor Supersport organized a glamorous gala dinner held at the fabulous Panari hotel to honor the footballers,clubs and sports journalist that were exceptional throughout the Kpl 2009 season with new entrants Sofapaka winning the coveted title. The gala dinner was attended by the who is who in the sporting arena in the country with former great players like Joe Kadenge,Peter Dawo,Mohamoud Abbas and many other in attendance.The gala dinner was graced by Ministry of Sports Permanent Secretary Mr.Winfred Langat who was full of praise for Kpl’s effort to improve the league. Other speakers at the gala dinner were Kpl chairman Mr.Gabriel Otiende and supersport head Gary Boyd .The Host of the gala dinner was football analyst Carol Radul.                                                                                                     

In every category three nominees were rewarded from the first to the third position with cash prizes and trophies.
