The first event of KCB Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) that took place in Kitengela yesterday, was an amazing show. The competition had attracted 27 cars with the defensing champion(KNRC) Baldev Chager as one of the drivers.
The show started with Karan Patel in a Ford Fiesta R5, followed by Eric Bengi in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo10 in the morning.
Carl Tundo finished first by clocking 01:45:76 marking this as his third consecutive Guru Nanak win while Baldev Chager emerged second clocking 01:48.13. Chager suffered a pucture gremlins in the second stage of the grassy course and lost a lot of time fixing the puncture. Initially Charger was leading with 4 seconds ahead of Tundo.
Veteran driver Ian Duncan, who has won the Guru Nanak Rally for a record 12 times in his career,emerged 4th.
The next KNRC will be held in Nakuru on 8th-9th March 2020.
